Honda Civic EK Series SuperPro Bush Kits
Owners of Honda’s superb EK range of Civics will be delighted to learn of SuperPro’s range of fast-road spec bushes. The Australian manufacturer developed a comprehensive catalogue of upgrade parts for the popular tuner car that improve feedback and precision, without sacrificing ride quality, increasing tyre wear or inducing harshness into the car’s ride quality.
You can choose from a number of options including offset bushes to increase caster on the front wheels. Increasing the amount of positive caster adds steering weight, improves straight line tracking, as well as increasing high speed stability and cornering effectiveness. Positive caster also increases tyre lean when cornering (similar to having more negative camber) as the steering angle is increased. Caster is a non-tyre-wearing adjustment so it won't decrease the life of your tyres but will give you benefits from the driving seat. You could also increase caster one one side of the vehicle to compensate for the natural curving-off of the road surface which can cause many cars to naturally pull to the left (or to pull to the right for those who drive on the right-hand side of the road).
The kits fit both hatch and saloon models and are a direct replacement for the OEM parts. Although aimed squarely at the fast-road driver, the kit’s capabilities have been proven beyond doubt by being the control products in the Buddy Club Civic Cup series in the UK, where the 1600cc car’s handling prowess has already clocked up some seriously impressive lap times.
All control, trailing and lateral arm bushes are available, along with the anti-roll bar mount to chassis bushes. SuperPro offer the upgrades as complete kits or as individual parts to suit your budget. Contact your nearest Honda specialist for more information and pricing.
